We welcome new members with a good ear and good voice. (A good sense of humour helps too!)
Some sight-reading ability and previous choral experience are advantages, but are not essential. We are committed to ensuring that the choir provides enjoyment and relaxation for our members as well as our audiences, and we aim for high standards of performance.
Rehearsals are held on Thursdays, from 8pm to 10pm, (with a tea break in between) at Martin School, Plane Tree Walk, High Road, East Finchley, London N2 9JP. A term averages 10 - 12 weeks and additional rehearsals for the full choir are held usually on two Wednesdays in the final weeks before each concert, and once a term for each section.
We perform three concerts a year, Winter, Spring and Summer, and our terms are similar to the school year.
We like to think of ourselves as a friendly and welcoming choir; plenty of us charge off to the pub after rehearsal and every February we hold a residential weekend where we bring in professionals to coach us.
You are welcome to attend a few rehearsals whilst deciding whether to join us. If you do so, our Musical Director will ask you to have a simple audition, so that he can assess your voice and advise you how best to develop it. Membership is subject to availability of places in each voice part. We currently have vacancies in the TENOR section only. But it's definitely worth checking with us and all enquiries are very welcome.

Directions to Martin School
By tube: turn left out of East Finchley station (Northern Line), 10 minutes walk north up the High Road on the right hand side
By bus: 102, 143, 234. All buses stop at East Finchley tube station.
263 bus - stops at East Finchley tube station and goes past the school.
Parking: either in the High Road, or in the car park at the back of the school
Membership and subscriptions
The annual subscription is £186. We can agree a reduced subscription for students and members on low incomes.
